What is the amount of volts/watts/amps used? What are the costs to use Ereada® mat per hour?

On the highest heat settings, approximate power consumption is:

  • Mini (20" × 32") — about 80–100 W
  • Compact Pro — about 180–200 W
  • Professional and Single — about 250–300 W

Based on an average U.S. electricity cost of about $0.13 per kWh (2019 estimate):

If you use a Professional mat for 1 hour per day at the highest level:

  • 30 days × 250 W = 7.5 kWh total
  • Cost: under $1 per month

If you use a Professional mat in a clinic for about 10 hours a day:

  • Approx. 75 kWh per month
  • Cost: around $10 per month

These numbers are approximate because the mats do not heat continuously. They cycle ON and OFF to maintain the set temperature, so actual electricity usage is usually lower. At low warmth levels (for example, during sleep), the mat may only heat for a few minutes each hour.

Standard Ereada® mats are designed for U.S. electrical systems 110–120 V / 60 Hz. They cannot be used directly with 220–240 V outlets unless you use a proper step-down converter. For customers outside North America, choose models specifically designed for 220–240 V use.
