The end bottom tubes with crystals and one-two inches on the left and right sides seem cooler. Is my mat defective?

All Ereada® amethyst heating mats and pads use highly safe titanium heating wires with double silicon and Teflon insulation, placed beneath multiple protective layers. For additional electrical safety, these heating wires are positioned slightly away from the edges of the mat.

As a result, the end crystal tubes are heated indirectly by the surrounding stones. The longer the mat heats up, the warmer the edges and end tubes will become.

For this reason, you may initially notice that not all stones feel equally warm. This is completely normal and does not affect the mat’s performance or functionality in any way.
