The mat is not hot when I touch it on high heat, is something wrong?
The mat should not usually feel very hot to the touch unless it is covered with a thick blanket. Amethyst stones radiate heat gradually, so the surface may feel only warm at first. When you lie on a properly preheated mat, you will begin to feel the deep warming effect.
It is important to cover the mat completely while it is preheating. If the mat is covered only partially, the temperature sensors inside different layers may receive uneven readings. This can confuse the controller and, over time, may cause it to work incorrectly or lose calibration. Please always cover the entire mat while it is preheating to the selected level.
Never cover the mat with non-breathable items such as rubber pads, foam toppers, camp or yoga mats, or any solid object that blocks infrared heat. This can cause overheating, repeated triggering of safety switches, damage to internal components, and in extreme cases may pose a fire risk.
