Which mat to choose between Mini and Midsize ?
The heating zone is slightly smaller than the mat itself, so for mini mats 32x20”, the heating zone would be 26x19” and for midsize mats 59x24”, it would be - 48x23”.
The midsize mats are usually around 22 pounds, and mini mats are 11 pounds.
A midsize mat would be a better choice as it is more comfortable laying on for a long time. You could keep such an at on your bad at all times and would not have to move it at all.
If you were to use a mini mat, you would have to move it around a lot to make sure that it affects your back and legs. If a midsize mat is too heavy for you, you could get two mini mats for the price of the midsize mat of the same type, or even get two different mini mats with different functions.
Usually, the classic amethyst or amethyst tourmaline mats are more comfortable for your back because they are softer, can be used in a chair, and do not have any additional functions that make them stiff. Other mini mats with PEMF and/or Photon lights are harder, cannot be bent, and could be used for your legs.
