Can I use a mat if I have titanium staples?

Metal pins, rods, artificial joints, and other surgical implants generally reflect far-infrared (FIR) waves and therefore are not directly heated by this type of system. However, it is always recommended to consult your surgeon or healthcare provider before using an FIR mat.

We have many customers with titanium implants and have not received negative feedback related to FIR mat use. (For transparency, some of our team members also have metal implants.)

That said, if you experience any discomfort, pain, or unusual sensations near an implant while using the mat, discontinue use immediately and consult your physician.
