Does the PEMF have effect on entire mat or just on the coil spots?

The PEMF intensity is strongest directly above the coil and decreases with distance according to the inverse square law.

The coils are powerful enough to produce magnetic field levels in the range of approximately 100–200 mG within about 6–8 inches around and above the coil, which allows the mat to influence a larger portion of the body.

Cellular and bio-magnetic processes generally do not require very high intensities to create resonance effects.

However, if you want to focus on a specific area of discomfort, it may be helpful to position that part of the body directly above the coil.

You can locate the coils using a small plastic vial containing a piece of magnetic metal. The metal piece will move most strongly when it is positioned directly above a coil.
