All Ereada® Amethyst mats comparison: BROWN, PURPLE and GRAY

Ereada® MATS are original products manufactured in Korea, where crystal FIR technology was first developed, according to the Ereada manufacturing overview. These mats are typically 20–30% heavier than most other crystal warming mats because they contain more gemstones and thicker structural layers, which helps generate stronger far-infrared output, as described in Ereada’s product specifications.

Ereada Amethyst pads may feel less hot to the touch, but the higher gemstone content produces more consistent infrared emission overall.

Our latest mat collections include:

  • Brown Ereada Amethyst mats — crystal rays, far-infrared heat, negative ions, and Negative Potential (N.P.)
  • Purple Ereada Amethyst mats — crystal rays, far-infrared heat, static magnets, PEMF, photon red-light, negative ions, and air ions
  • Gemstone Ereada Amethyst mats — crystal rays, far-infrared heat, PEMF, negative ions, and air ions

Brown Ereada® mats are classic models similar to the original Korean-made biomats. Local factories have produced these styles for over twenty years, and many older units are still in service.

The Brown collection with Negative Potential (N.P.) uses an internal silver-fiber layer that generates a high electrostatic negative field, supporting efficient negative-ion transfer. This function is comparable to Richway’s E.D.N.I., but Ereada Brown mats can operate N.P. at the same time as heating.

Purple and Gemstone Ereada® mats share the same powerful PEMF system, offering magnetic pulsation intensities that vary by frequency. Purple mats additionally include twelve permanent static magnets in the hip and leg area.

In midsize and larger models, multiple PEMF coils are positioned along the upper body zone, and these mats also supply air ions through both the controller and internal anion layers. Gemstone mini mats include two PEMF coils, while later Purple mini models also added two PEMF coils.

Only Purple mats include the photon 660 nm red-light function. Neither Purple nor Gemstone mats include the Negative Potential feature available in the Brown collection.

Amethyst crystals naturally emit far-infrared radiant heat and negative ions when heated, which is why amethyst is the primary stone used. Controllers on most sizes offer seven heat levels, while mini controllers briefly display the set Celsius temperature and then the current temperature.

Because Purple mats have mesh surfaces and surface LEDs, they can feel firmer and apply more pressure than the softer suede Brown and Gemstone mats, particularly during longer or higher-heat sessions without protectors.

Both Purple and Gemstone mats feature strong PEMF with nine settings between 8 and 64 Hz, cycling 20 minutes ON and 100 minutes OFF when set for extended sessions. Magnetic strength decreases with distance, so more coils help create a more uniform field above the mat surface.
