Are the amethyst stones sustainably and ethically sourced?

Most parts of amethyst come from the South Korean mines.

These Amethysts are more expensive, rare, and a kind of "originally used stones" since ancient times. There is no doubt that they are sustainably and ethically sourced.

But during the last years, a lot of raw Amethyst Geodes (big crystals) are imported from Brazil.

Koreans crush and polish them and mix with their crystals. They say that because of growing demand the Korean mines are exhausted,

It is not possible to claim that Brazil manufacturer is ethically pristine. But for sure it is a solid company with a long history of mining, and they do not use children or prisoners.

Amethyst mining demands big experience and good knowledge.

The people who go to the mines are professional geologists able to distinct Amethyst geodes from quartz and other crystals.

So there is no any bad emotions or thoughts involved. It is more like art and hunting.

Also, the best way to clear the crystals of Amethyst from everything they could absorb (for example if you buy a preowned mat) is to put it on the sun so that Amethysts get hot and full of solar energy.

Even if you use the mat yourself, you can do it from time to time on sunny days.

So do Koreans and many of our customers "recharge" the mats in such a manner as well. It came from the experts in crystals healing.
